Midwives, maternity care assistants and health visitors all come to see you at home with your baby to offer you care and support as required.
Generally, your midwife will arrange visits until your baby is 10 days old, when the health visitor arranges her first visit.
This will be based on your own individual needs and the time can be extended if required.
At 6-8 weeks a post natal check for you and a check for your baby is done by appointment at the surgery on a Wednesday by Dr Ramsell.
