How to order a prescription

If you take medication on a long-term basis you will be issued with a counterfoil detailing the medicines you are currently taking. We are unable to process requests over the telephone. You can request a repeat prescription in the following ways:
  • Counterfoil - by bringing in the counterfoil, ticking the medicines you require and dropping the counterfoil in the repeat prescription box in the main lobby or the main outside post box by the main doors.
  • Fax - 01707 655 583 stating your full name, address, date of birth and the medication you require.
  • Post - Posting your request and enclosing a stamped addressed envelope.
  • Online Services - You can now request for a repeat prescription online.

Patients will need a review of their medication when it is indicated on their counterfoil. Medication will not be issued if a medication review is needed.

Your prescription will be ready for you to collect within 48 working hours of receipt.

All local pharmacists operate a local delivery service on request and in combination with the surgery an Electronic Prescription service. This means that your prescription can be sent directly to the pharmacy of your choice. Click here to nominate your pharmacy.

Register for Online Services

Our online service allows you to book or cancel appointments and to order repeat prescriptions. From 1 April 2015 you will be able to view your allergies and adverse reactions and also all your medication. In the future you will be able to access your test results, letters, and some consultations.

You will need to register with the practice to access this service and once registered you will be given information that will enable you to create your username and password. When your account has been created and activated you will be able to use the services.

When patients are registering to use the service they should not use a shared email address. For example, if a husband and wife have separate accounts but use the same email address, both will see all online appointment booking confirmations and reminders for both accounts.

Children under the age of 16 are unable to register for online services.

Patients are advised to read the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions which are available on the site. By using Patient Access patients automatically indicate their acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.

For full details please read this leaflet. To register you can download the form and bring it into the surgery with some form of photo ID.
