How To make an Appointment

The majority of our appointments are available to book on the day but we do offer a number that can be booked 4 weeks in advance. Patients are advised that if they wish to see a doctor they take a note of the doctors' timetable.

Appointments are 10 minutes in duration. Patients are advised that only one problem should be discussed at the appointment. Double appointments can be booked if more than one problem needs to be discussed.

Appointments are made by calling our receptionist between 08:30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday on 01707 644451.

Annandale Surgery has an online appointment booking service. Patients can book and cancel appointments via the internet. Appointments that are offered online are those that can be booked in advance and next day bookings are released the previous evening after 6.30pm.

Telephone Consultations cannot be booked online.

To register for online booking services please complete the initial form below.

If you have already registered for the online services, please visit our Online Service page.

Appointments Online

Our Online Appointment booking service allows you to book and cancel appointments with our practice using the internet.

You will need to register with the practice to access this service, please collect a form from Reception which needs to be completed and photo ID will need to be verified. Once registered you will be given information that will enable you to create your username and password. When your account has been created and activated you will be able to book appointments and cancel requirements if required.

Please note that in the interests of confidentiality patients over the age of 16 years must have an individual email address in order to have an individual account whereby they can access their own records.

Already Registered? Sign in to our Online Services.

Register for Online Services

Our online service allows you to book or cancel appointments and to order repeat prescriptions. From 1 April 2015 you will be able to view your allergies and adverse reactions and also all your medication. In the future you will be able to access your test results, letters, and some consultations.

You will need to register with the practice to access this service and once registered you will be given information that will enable you to create your username and password. When your account has been created and activated you will be able to use the services.

When patients are registering to use the service they should not use a shared email address. For example, if a husband and wife have separate accounts but use the same email address, both will see all online appointment booking confirmations and reminders for both accounts.

Children under the age of 16 are unable to register for online services.

Patients are advised to read the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions which are available on the site. By using Vision Online Services patients automatically indicate their acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.

For full details please read this leaflet. To register you can download the form and bring it into the surgery with some form of photo ID.

Each patient registering over the age of 16 should have their own email address unless we are notified otherwise. You will be sent a registration token to register for the service.

Patients who do not register for the online service should ring the surgery on 01707 644 451 .

Our doctors typically see four patients in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason we ask patients to come to the surgery if at all possible.

However, we can visit you at home if your condition means you cannot attend the practice. Please call the surgery before 10.00am to arrange a visit and let us know if your condition is urgent.

Telephone Consultations

Telephone consultations can be booked with a doctor or nurse to discuss issues such as:

  • repeat prescriptions
  • minor illnesses
  • medical certificates
  • medical advice
  • results
  • or any other issue which does not require an examination.

Telephone consultations are booked in the same way as an ordinary consultation and are five minutes in duration. We are unable to give an exact time when the clinician will call. Patients are requested to ensure that they are available and that their phone line is not engaged at the time of the appointment.

Emergencies

A&E emergency departments are for people with critical or life-threatening conditions.

Only call 999 if someone has a suspected heart attack, lost
